This year’s Far North Wilderness Bike Tour is shaping up to be the most exciting ride yet!  We have been receiving a great response from both sponsors and riders.  Mungalli Creek Dairy, Neil’s Organics, Community Foods, and Coffee Works have all come on board to once again sponsor this year’s tour, providing us with the best produce, dairy products, muesli, oats and coffee for the Bio-dynamic/Organic Breakfast Showcase each morning of the ride.  Don’t forget that the Early Bird Discount ends June 30th, so make sure to sign up ahead of time and secure your spot for this year’s amazing event as there is limited space available.  You can register online at www.fnqbiketour.org.au.

This year’s tour includes the best campsites and routes from previous years as well as a new campsite in Dinden National Park.  Here you can enjoy the scenic ride along Clohesy River filled with a variety of incredible flora and fauna.  Watch the Davies Creek water cascade over huge granite boulders as it flows through eucalypt woodlands.

Ecotone - Bike Tour PhotoWe will also be spending 2 days at the bush heritage listed Yourka Station, situated in the Einasleigh Uplands, one of Australia’s 15 biodiversity hotspots.  You will have the option of camping alongside beautiful lagoons and enjoy watching the amazing variety of birds.  While at Yourka, take the opportunity to ride to Herbert River Gorge and swim in the spectacular pools above the falls and witness inspirational views.
