The FNQ Solar Hub has been created to encourage households and businesses in Far North Queensland to make a switch to solar. The solar hub provides clear and unbiased information on the benefits of solar power and what to consider when choosing a solar system. The project aim is to promote the uptake of solar power by the households and businesses across Far North Queensland and to direct people to participating solar providers who meet the project criteria.
The FNQ Solar Hub is a unique opportunity for pairing local households and businesses with local solar power suppliers in a focus to reduce electricity costs and emissions while supporting the local economy and giving back to the community. The best part of switching to solar through the FNQ Solar Hub is that participating solar companies have agreed to donate $50 for every 1kW of solar sold through this program to the Solar Futures Fund to help put solar roofs on community buildings in remote north Queensland communities.
