Climate Justice Workshop Series

Climate change is a justice issue because those who have done the least to cause the problem feel the effects first and worst. Climate solutions must therefore work to support all, rethink our systems, and build a fairer future. Here in Far North Queensland, we’ve seen more frequent heat waves, flooding and storm events, and shifts in rainfall patterns. These climate impacts affect our communities, economies, and vulnerable ecosystems.

Learn more about climate justice by attending CAFNEC’s new workshop series:
Thursday, April 20: Workshop 1 – Climate Justice 101
Wednesday, May 3: Workshop 2 – Climate Change, Social Justice, and the Cost of Living
Wednesday, May 24: Workshop 3 – Climate Justice in FNQ

All workshops will be held from 5:30 – 7 PM at the Cairns City Library Meeting Room (151 Abbott St, Cairns City QLD 4870). Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided. Each workshop covers different content, so we recommend attending all three if you can.

Everyone is welcome! RSVP below.
