Community Climate Action
COMMUNITY CLIMATE ACTION
Worried about climate change? Want to know what you can do to help? You’re not alone! CAFNEC’s Our Climate Our Way of Life campaign in 2021/22 revealed that the majority of people in our community want the government to do more to address the climate crisis. CAFNEC is advocating for stronger policy commitments from our decision-makers to cut down on fossil fuel emissions and help communities adapt to climate impacts – you can read more about that here. But advocacy work takes time, so in the meantime…
Here’s what you can do RIGHT NOW:
- Become a CAFNEC volunteer to help us drive campaigns, projects, events and other actions in our work advocating for conservation and climate justice.
- Volunteer with one of CAFNEC’s member groups taking direct, on-ground action to restore ecosystems and protect vulnerable species.
- Organise your own community action – Get in touch with us at climateaction@nullcafnec.org.au if you’re interested in starting a local group or running an action like a creek clean-up, a rally, etc. Get creative!
