SUMMARY:Community Climate Action Group Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Through the Our Climate, Our Way of Life campaign, CAFNEC has been building a network of community members who want to see stronger action on climate change in our region.\nThrough conversations about climate change at doorsteps and discussions about climate solutions at our Climate Community Hall events, we’ve formed suburb-level climate action groups (CAGs) that have been organising local events in Machans Beach and Cairns North. We’re taking that CAG concept, but building greater power and capacity to create change by bringing residents from all over Cairns together once a month to meet, learn new skills, and take strategic action on climate change.\nJoin us downstairs at Cominos House (27 – 29 Greenslopes Street, Manunda) on Thursday, July 28th from 6pm – 8pm for the first Community Climate Action Group meeting. RSVP using the form below. \nPlease note that this space is strictly devoted to community action on climate change led by volunteer leaders and facilitated by CAFNEC. If you are a part of an existing climate organisation or group and would like to collaborate with CAFNEC’s broader climate campaign, please contact Bronwyn at climateaction@nullcafnec.org.au.
